Additional Notes
The Department of Chemical Engineering strongly recommends that students complete both MATH 230 and MATH 251 before taking CH E 210 and CH E 220. However, if both courses are not available, students should take either MATH 230 or MATH 251 before taking CH E 210 and CH E 220. Students may then take the remaining math course, MATH 230 or MATH 251, concurrently with CH E 210 and CH E 220. Students should NOT take both MATH 230 and MATH 251 concurrently with CH E 210 and CH E 220.
Students should move to University Park for their fourth semester so they can take CH E 210 and CH E 220. These two required courses are prerequisites for subsequent required courses. A delay in moving to University Park by one semester will increase by 1-2 the number of semesters needed to complete degree requirements.
CH E 210: Course requires a grade of 'C' or better before enrolling in the next higher course.
CH E Elective: Select from department list.
Engineering Elective: Select from department list. Students who complete the Cooperative Education Program may substitute 3 co-op credits for an engineering elective.
Health and Physical Activity Elective: Students who complete the ROTC Program may substitute 3 ROTC credits for the GHA requirement and 3 ROTC credits for a professional elective.
Professional Elective: Select from department list. Students who complete the ROTC Program may substitute 3 ROTC credits for the GHA requirement and 3 ROTC credits for a professional elective.
